Between
Tournon d'Agenais and Mauroux, in the Lot valley, Thézac is
a nice little village (church, city hall, former school), at 10
kilometers from Fumel, where you will find
all what you might need (supermarkets, baker's, butcher's, chemist's,
newspapers, swimming
pool, cinema, ...).
Situated
on the limestone plateau, bordered by both Agenais and Quercy area,
there's a lot to see and to do nearby : medieval bastide town of
Tournon d'Agenais, Bonaguil & Biron
castles, the "Gouffre de Padirac", lake of Montaigu de Quercy, boat trips on the Lot river,
rambling, horse
riding, golf, forest adventure trails...

If
you are interested in wine, visit Thézac
"coopérative" which
has given a boost to "Wine of the Tzar" and Cahors red wine producers.

Don't
forget to taste local gastronomy (foie gras, confit de canard, pruneaux
d'Agen, French bread, local cheese, dried sausage, ...) and to buy
vegetables and fruits in
fairs and markets.
